Are you looking for a dental clinic that follows the Dental Fee Guide accepted by most dental insurance plans?

What about the Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

The Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP) helps Canadians with their dental health needs by providing essential dental services. This initiative aims to make dental care more accessible so that more Canadians can receive necessary treatments for healthy teeth and gums.

We accept the Canada Dental Care Plan for dental services, like any other dental insurance, but any costs not covered will be the patient's responsibility. Clinics following the Alberta Dental Fee Guide offer clearer billing for these extra costs. It's important to note that dental insurance or government plans should not limit treatment options. Patients should have the freedom to choose the care that fits their individual needs.

People search Alberta Dental Fee Guide on the internet because of dental costs concerns. Does your dentist follow the Alberta Dental Fee Guide? Some offices may follow it only for basic denta services, but at Harvest Dental care, we follow this fee guide for all the dental services we provide.

What is the Alberta Dental Fee Guide?

The Alberta Dental Fee Guide is Published Annually
The Alberta Dental Fee Guide is a list of dental services and their costs created by the Alberta Dental Association. Dentists may use this guide to help set their treatment fees. It has been available since 2017 and provides suggested prices for dental care.

Fee Guide for Insurance and Dentists
The Alberta Dental Fee Guide helps you, your dental insurance, and Harvest Dental Care manage dental costs and benefits. It clarifies treatment fees, reducing disputes or misunderstandings about the charges for different dental services.

The 5-Digit Codes in the Alberta Dental Fee Guide
All dental treatment fees use a 5-digit code to describe a dental service. You can find this code on your dental receipt or claim form. It identifies a specific dental service and can be looked up in the Alberta Dental Fee Guide. You can also use this code when contacting your insurance company.

Why We Follow the 2025 Alberta Dental Fee Guide

It’s Easy to Understand
We follow the Alberta Dental Fee Guide to provide services at standard rates. This helps reduce confusion when billing your insurance and prevents unexpected costs. Not all dental clinics use this guide for every treatment.

We Provide Quality Care
We offer quality care in a professional setting with agreed-upon fees based on the Alberta Dental Association standards. We don’t use lower fee guides because we prioritize transparent pricing for dental treatments. Our aim is to give you clear information about dental costs, not to attract you with low prices.

We Believe in Fairness
We think the Alberta Dental Fee Guide offers fair pricing for dental services, allowing our patients to focus on their care without worrying about cost negotiations.

Does Your Current Dentist Follow It?
The best way to find out is to ask your dentist. Inquire if the fee guide applies to all services. Some clinics may only follow it for certain treatments, while others apply it mainly to basic services like cleanings and check-ups. At our clinic, we follow the fee guide for all services, including root canals, crowns, bridges, night guards, dentures, and more.

Why Choose Harvest Dental Care?

Harvest Dental Care follows the Alberta Dental Fee Guide, but we offer more than just competitive prices. We focus on providing quality care with compassion. Our team uses high-quality materials for fillings, crowns, bridges, and dental implants.

We know dental visits aren't always enjoyable, so we strive to create a modern, relaxing environment with skilled professionals. We help you understand your dental issues and explore options for preventive and cosmetic care. We are transparent about fees and can bill your insurance directly.

Our team—dentists, hygienists, and receptionists—works together to provide the care you need. We offer simple and effective preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dental services without the unnecessary frills.

Dental Insurance and Alberta Dental Fee Guide

  • Checking Coverage

We can check your dental insurance to see if treatments are covered. While most insurers follow the Alberta Dental Fee Guide, not all procedures may be included. It’s best to know your coverage first.

We can send an electronic request and get a quick response for basic services like check-ups, cleanings, and fillings. In some cases, we may need to call the provider or send a letter.

  • Major Treatments

For major treatments like braces, crowns, bridges, implants, and dentures, we might need to send a letter and X-rays to your dental insurance for review.

We take care of this for you, but it can take a few weeks to get a response, which may be sent to your online account or by mail.

  • Pre-Determination Replies

Electronic (EDI) - Most insurance companies can give an immediate response while you're at the clinic. This option is usually available for basic and some major treatments.

Postal Mail - Some insurance companies still use regular mail to inform about coverage. This letter may be sent to our clinic or your home.

Online Account - If you have an online account with your insurer, they might send information through this platform.

Important Questions for Dental Insurance Providers

  • Benefit Amount?

This is the dollar amount that the insurance will pay each year, usually between $1,000 to $3,000. It’s known as the Annual Maximum Dollar Limit. There may be separate limits for orthodontic treatment and major procedures like crowns and bridges.

  • Benefit Rollover Date?

This is the date your dental plan benefit amount is renewed. It usually occurs on December 31st, but this can vary by insurance provider. Knowing this, along with the benefit amount, will help us create a treatment plan to make the most of your dental benefits.

  • Which Fee Guide?

Most dental insurance providers follow the current Alberta Dental Fee Guide from the Alberta Dental Association, but it's best to check if they do. Some plans may not follow the current fee guide (some even use a fee guide back dated to 2021), so it's important to find out any differences early.
