I am a proud Calgarian that was born and raised in Calgary. My call to dentistry came from “down under”, one year after obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary. My passions for dentistry led me to the University of Melbourne, where I completed the Doctor of Dental Surgery program.

AUSTRALIA

During my four years in Melbourne, I took the opportunity to experience the culture, explore, and engage in local activities to maintain my sanity. Highlights of my four years include traveling, volunteering in Southeast Asia, the amazing coffee (I’m sorry Tim’s), hiking, and the beaches. Although I did not want to leave Melbourne after my training, I felt that home was where my heart was.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

My employment history includes working at the family restaurant at the age of 10, electronic sales at superstore, Unit Clerk at the children’s hospital, and private tutor for university students in Melbourne. This diverse employment background provided me with the necessary skills to provide quality customer service and effective communication. My previous work experience has also allowed me to appreciate the effort required for a hard-earned dollar.

FAMILY LIFE

My mother played an instrumental role in my decision in pursuing a career in healthcare. Growing up, I spent many days helping my mother, whom is visually impaired, with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and caring for my younger siblings. These humbling life experiences allowed me to develop and strengthen my sense of compassion and accountability from a very early age. As caring for others comes naturally to me, pursuing a career in healthcare was an obvious choice. Ultimately, I chose dentistry because I wanted a fulfilling career where I could utilize my compassion and empathy while being able to dedicate time to my family.

ACTIVITIES

My family and friends would describe me in three words: hilarious, reliable, and compassionate. Aside from time with family and friends, I enjoy spending time in the mountains; whether it be snowboarding, hiking, or on my motorcycle. I also enjoy cooking, staying active, and giving back to my community.
